An adult's skeletal system is made of 206 bones. These bones have different jobs in human body. Various factors cause bone diseases and fractures. Hand fractures of children face them with troubles.

Writer/Producer of AEPO has visited some patients in Indra Gandhi Children Hospital in Kabul. Mohammad Zaman, a resident of Deh Sabz, district of Kabul province, says: “The hand of my one year old daughter is fractured, it has swelling and a bad ache during night.”

Physicians say that deformation of bone is another sing of hand bone fracture. The hand finds restrictions on movement, blood collects under the skin, if fraction is open, the patient is anesthetized and has low pressure.

First aids for patients:

At the beginning, we should see whether the respiratory tract of the patient is open or not. If her/his tongue is folded to his larynx, we should help him to open it and then to prevent the bleeding of fractures, we should raise the effected hand till bleeding stops. We should find two boards of wood and place the fractured hand between them and tie clean piece of cloth and transfer the patient to a nearest clinic.
