Well-Arranged Shop

The store layout is the design of a store's floor space and the placement of items within that store. Store layout helps influence a customer's behavior to get more benefits.

AEPO’s writer/producer has talked to Hazrat Bilal, a shopkeeper in Kabul city.

Bilal says about his business, “I have started my work as a shopkeeper about 10 years ago. It is a general store and one could find anything of his/her needed items here in this shop. I have well-arranged all the items on the shelves to make it easy for me and for the customers to find them. Before I have a small shop in the Microrayon area, Kabul city. A customer was purchasing one or two items from me and for her his remaining items, he had to go to the next shop. At that time, there was a superstore near my shop and he was selling everything. I copied from that store and I opened this superstore.

I have divided my store into different parts. The part which has fewer customers, I have appointed a person to arrange the items. In the part that has more customers, I have hired two workers. When we sell the items, they bring those items from the store and place them on the shelves. Our daily incomes are sufficient.”

Fish Farming:

AEPO’s writer/producer has talked to Hamayun Amini who has a fish farm.

Amini talks about his farm, “I have been raising fish from 4 years back and my customers are fish farms owners. I inform the customers through social media and mobile phone how to make fish farm and how to raise fish in different seasons of the year. I also send my fish farm workers to help fish farm owners how to build a pond for fish and how to breed and rear them. I do not get any wages for my guidance and my aim is to expand fish farms in Afghanistan.”
