New Marketing Techniques

Most business persons spend more money to bring some changes in their business to increase their customers but those who have small businesses and could not bring changes in their business, how could they increase the number of their customers?

AEPO’s writer/producer had a trip to Mazar-e-Sharif, Balkh province and there she has talked to Mariam Hashimi.

Mariam Hashimi talks about her business: “Many women, children, and girls come for a picnic to the Women Garden in Mazar-e-Sharif, I wanted to get the benefit of this opportunity. I borrowed about 10 thousand Afghanis and I opened a small restaurant in this garden.

I prepare spaghetti at home and then I cook a special Takhari spaghetti in my restaurant. I prefer to offer the best food at a low price and I have a good attitude with my customers. As I am illiterate, I have hired another woman as my partner. We also have carpets for rent. Those who come for a picnic to the garden, they pay us 50 Afghanis for each carpet. In ordinary days, our benefit is around 1000 Afghanis but on Fridays and holidays, our daily income reaches  10 thousand Afghanis and we divide it among us.”

New Marketing Techniques:

AEPO’s writer/producer has talked to Matiullah, a resident of Kabul city who imports and sells agricultural pet spices and tools.

Matiullah says: “I have started my work about 47 years ago. At the beginning, we did not have enough customers. We discussed among ourselves that how could we find a solution to this issue. Then we reached a result to create a technical team. We sent the team to the area for three months and they used practically our imported pest spices. Gardeners and landowners saw the result of these pest spices and now they order us to prepare them agricultural tools and pest spice. As a result of our new technique, we have sold almost half of our imported pest spices and agricultural tools in three months.”
