The lack of money is the main problem in economic activities but some people, especially women found a solution for this issue and they have started their business with a small amount of money.

AEPO’s writer/producer had a trip to Dihdadi district, Balkh province and there he has talked to Ruqia Hakimi, an owner of noodles Product Company.

Ruqia says about her activities: “I started to prepare noodles with 300 Afghanis at home two years ago and I was selling them in the market and now I have noodles making machines and about 30 other women are working with me. At the beginning, the shopkeepers were mocking me for selling noodles because I was not aware of marketing. Later we printed labels with the information about our products and our address and phone numbers and now the shopkeepers order us and we prepare the noodles for them. I have mortgaged a house for 100 thousand Afghanis from the benefit of our factory. I am also keeping cattle at home and I earn about 700-1000 Afghanis daily from the selling of milk of my cow and I have bought a car for my husband from the benefit the milk.”

Changing  Income Resource:

AEPO’s writer/producer has talked to Abdul Khaliq, a resident of Kabul city who has changed his income source and now his life is better than before.

Abdul Khaliq says: “I am a taxi driver but the heavy traffic in the city caused me to leave my profession. I sold my taxi for 330000 Afghanis and I bought a cow for 80000 Afghanis. Now I prepare dairy at home and sell it for the shopkeepers. I also buy and sell cattle and get the benefit and now my living condition is better than before.”
