Innovation in Public Bath

Written by: Yama Rahi

Some people have brought change in their work and they have gotten a better result.

AEPO’s writer/producer has talked Haseebullah, a resident of Kabul city who has brought changes in his public bathroom.

Haseebullah says: “At the beginning, I had a public bath but I was losing my customers day by day. To pay the attention of more customers, I brought some changes in the bath. My public bath had two saloons. I built a dry and steam sauna in the first saloon. I spent about 1000000 Afghanis to build these two saunas. Before we have about 7000 Afghanis daily income but now we get a double benefit.

Our customers are ordinary people, and as our bath is located near guesthouses, our more customers are passengers and ordinary people.”

Pakora Ingredients:

Sharif is another resident of Kabul city. Sharif says to AEPO’s writer/producer about his activity: “I have built a factory of producing pakora ingredients. These ingredients include pea flour, dried coriander, cumin, salt, clove, cinnamon, and special food color. After producing this powder, then I sell them in the markets of Afghanistan. Our more customers are families and shopkeepers.

About 24 workers which of them are women are busy at work in our factory.

We produce about 50 cartons (each carton has 18 small packages) pakora powder daily and we get 5 Afghani benefits from each package).
