A number of people complain of unemployment but some others could find a solution to this issue.

AEPO’s writer/producer has talked to Nilab, a resident of Badghis province.

Nilab says about her activities: “my husband is a farmer and he could fulfill home necessities. As there was no beauty salon in our province, once one of our villagers wanted to go for her fashion to Herat province by airplane and she gave me the idea to start ladies makeup. I started my work with primative tools and learned to makeup brides and girls from a TV program and later I went to Herat province and learned more tips from a cosmetologist. In the beginning, I was working in one of my house’s rooms and later when my customers increased, I opened my beauty parlor in the women bazaar in Badghis province. At the first days, my daily incomes were about 500 Afghanis but now I could benefit about 6000-1000 Afghanis daily and my life is changed a lot.”

How to find customers in a village?

AEPO’s writer/producer has talked to Khan Muhammad, a resident of Charasiab district, Kabul province.

Khan Muhammad says: “I was breaking stones in mountains and get some money for my work but when winter arrived, there was no need for stones and I faced economic problems. One of my friends is cooking chicken soup in another village. He suggested me to sell chicken soup. I learned cooking soup from him and I started to cook and sell it in the village. I could get about 500 Afghanis to benefit daily and I could solve my economic problems."
