Clean Books

First Lane:

‌Bilal is playing in the lane. His sister, Haseena asks him to come home and keep his books in a safe place and adds the children might tear their pages but Bilal does not care about them. Meanwhile, the peddler comes and they welcome him. The peddler asks about their argument. Haseena tells about the issue of Bilal’s books. Bilal says that he would keep his books in a safe place after playing.

Peddler turns on his talking box. Naseem, a resident of Farza district, Kabul province says: “once I had left my books on the surface of the room and my small sister had drawn lines in them. When my teacher saw the books, he cut my marks in the cleanliness exam.”

Suhaila, a resident of Jalalabad city, Nangarhar province says: “when I come back from school to home, I keep my books and notebooks clean. When I do my homework, I keep my books back in my school bag. Our teacher appreciates me in front of my classmates for keeping my books clean.”

Bilal promises that he would take care of his school books. The rabbit thanks them from inside the peddler’s bag. Haseena asks the rabbit to come out from the bag and tell them something new.

Rabbit comes out and tells them a melody about the book. The children like and learn the melody.

Peddler appreciates them and he goes to the next lane.

Second Lane:

Yunus asks Farida to tell a new joke. Farida says that she does not remember any joke. Peddler arrives with his rabbit into the land and the children warmly welcome him. Peddler asks them if anyone of them remembers a new joke. The children say no. The rabbit says that she would tell them a joke.

She says: “a teacher asked students the following sentence and asked them about the tense of the sentence: I do not go to school! A student replies that this sentence is related to Friday.”

The children like the ioke. The peddler wants the children to learn more jokes and he goes to the next lane.

Third Lane:

Tawab and Naseema are waiting for the peddler to come and tell them a new story.

Meanwhile, the sound of peddler’s flute is heard in the lane. The children go near to the peddler and after greeting, they ask the golden wings fairy to tell them a new story.

The golden wing fairly tells them the story of Nik Muhammad.

She says that Nik Muhammad was a boy living in a village and his friends were calling him Nik (good) but he was not a good boy.

Nik Bad: First part

When Nik was going anywhere, he was annoying small children. He was pushing one and pulling another child and the children were crying.

His friend, Mateen asked him to change his behavior but Nik said that he enjoys annoying others.

Meanwhile, a buggy came and a nice small girl got off from the buggy to play with the children for a while. Nik told to the nice girl there is a snake behind her feet. The nice girl fell down on the ground.
