 Some land owners believe that a sufficient income cannot be achieved from a small piece of land.

Lala Gul proved that a small piece of land could be a good source of income.

He says to the writer/producer of AEPO:

“I had been working for a foreign NGO and when I was  dismissed from the job one of my friends sent me 2000 bulbs of two types of flowers.

I planted them in 100 square meter land. Later on, the bulb increased and I cultivated them in an acre land. From the selling of these flowers, I was gaining  more than Afs 70000 each year.

Zarifa Ahmadi is a resident of Kapisa province, director of foodstuffs processing company.

She collects tomatoes, mung, beans, saffron and other foodstuffs from women and after processing, sells them in the market. She pays the half price of the foodstuffs in advance and pays the rest after selling. Zarifa says that tomato paste has more customers than other materials.Last year, she sold about Afs 150000 tomato paste.
