First Lane:

Nasrin and Sana are playing in the alley. Nasrin has brought Bolani (a special Afghani food) and she invites Sana to eat Bolani with her. Meanwhile, the peddler with his rabbit arrives and they greet him. When peddler sees the Bolani, he says that its shape is like a triangle. Sana asks about the triangle.

Peddler turns on the talking box. Nazir Ahmad, a resident of Kandahar province says that the triangle has three angles like Bolani. Another boy, Naser Ahmad says that triangle is like a bird has three angles.

Peddler turns off the talking box. Nasrin says that she did not learn anything the talking box. Peddler says that the triangle is a shape which has three straight lines. The joint points of each two lines should be straight and that makes a triangle.

Sana says that now she knows what triangle is. She says that if we fold one side of the tablecloth, it makes the shape of a triangle. Then the rabbit tells a poem about the triangle in which many triangle objects are mentioned.

Peddler goes to another alley.

Second Lane:

Naqib and Arezzo are waiting for the peddler to come and tell them a new joke. Peddler comes and greets the children. Arezzo asks him to tell them a joke. Peddler turns on his tape. A boy tells the following joke:

“two madmen were traveling in a ship. Suddenly the navigator said that the ship might sink in the sea. All the passengers were busy in praying except for one the two madmen. The second madman asked the first madman that he is praying for. The first madman said that the ship is going to be sunk. The second madman said that let her be sunk because she does not belong to us.”

Children like the joke. Peddler asks them to learn new jokes and he goes to the next alley.

Third Lane:

Nawid and Nasima are playing in the alley. Peddler arrives with his rabbit. The rabbit has bubble balloons with herself. The children greet the peddler and ask the rabbit to give some bubble balloons to them.

The rabbit tells a puzzle and asks them to find the correct answer and then she would give them bubble balloons.

The puzzle is as follow: "what is that which has a mouth but has no tooth; has a body but doesn’t have bones?"

They find some wrong answers but the rabbit doesn’t accept. Finally, they find the correct answer which is bubble balloon.

The rabbit gives them a few bubble balloons to each of them and the peddler goes home.
