Greeting Classmates

 

First Lane:

Shekiba is eating a pear in the alley. Her brother, Saleem comes and wants Shekiba to give him a pear too. Shekiba says that when someone meets, they should greet each other before talking. Saleem says that he doesn’t need to greet. Meanwhile, peddler comes, Shekiba greets him and Saleem asks if he has brought gifts for them.

Peddler says that first greeting and then talking. Shekiba says that Saleem does not greet his classmates either. Saleem says that he could talk without greeting too.

Peddler brings out a talking box from his bag.

A girl says that she always greets her classmates. Some children say the same.

Peddler says that greeting (Salam) increases love among people.

Saleem promises that he would greet anyone who faces with him. Peddler appreciates them and goes to another alley.

Second Lane:

Nazia asks Qadir if he knows any poem about greeting. Peddler arrives and they greet him. Qadir says to the peddler that Nazia asks him to tell her a poem about greeting. Nazia asks the meaning of greeting (Salam). Peddler says that Salam means be safe and sound.

Peddler asks Qadir to tell the poem. Qadir tells it and Nazia learns it. Peddler asks them to share the melody with their other friends too.

Nazia tells a joke about Salam. Peddler likes the joke and wants the children to learn more jokes and then he goes to the alley of the story.

Third Lane:

Shabnam and Ilyas are waiting for the peddler to come and tell them the second episode of the story “The Lie”.

Ilyas asks Shabnam to tell him what happened in the first part. Shabnam was to tell him but she saw that peddler is coming toward them. Peddler arrives and they warmly welcome him. Shabnam asks peddler to tell them the second part of the story. Peddler asks them to tell him that what happened in the first part.

Ilyas says that in the previous episode we heard that there were four hens: Black, White, Red, and Piebald, living in neighboring houses.

Shabnam says that One-day, Red went out to find something for eating. On the way, she saw Black. Black said that White backbit Red and said that Red's legs are very ugly.

Ilyas says that Red became sad and wanted to go home. Peddler says that Along the way to home, White saw the Red asked her to stop.

“The Lie”

Second part:

White arrived and Red asked her that why she backbit her that Red’s legs are ugly.

White said that she had never said anything against her but Red had backbit that White’s

chicks are dirty and her mother doesn’t pay attention to them.

White said that she had never said anything about her chicks and she added that White wants to hide her mistake.  They started to quarrel with each other. A crow saw them and asked them not to fight.
