Professional pruning
Many gardeners in Afghanistan think the pruning of trees an easy work and they prune their fruits trees themselves.
Mohammad Tahir, a resident of Guldara, district of Kabul province said to the writer and producer of AEPO:
“I pruned the apple trees for increasing the fruit of the trees, but after sometime, I lost about 20 trees.”
Horticulture specialist, Shirullah, said about these problems:
“If the gardeners do not prune their treeس in a specific time, by a professional person, different diseases will develop in the trees and would not get enough fruits from them.
The gardeners do not know when and how to cut the branches from and this would cause the trees to be cut and dried after a short time.”
He advised the gardeners to prune their fruit trees by a professional person.
