The Puzzle

1st Lane:

It is winter. Zakia and Aslam are removing snow off their house’s roofs. Peddler arrives and they come down and greet the peddler.

Peddler gives some raisins to them. Aslam eats but Zakia says that she hates raisins because raisins don’t have any health benefits.

Peddler uses some magical words and a big raisin comes out from the bag. The magic raisin says: eating raisins strengthen bones and memory; helps children to learn lessons easily; purifies the blood, prevents any kind of illnesses and teeth diseases.

After hearing the words of magic raisin about the benefits of raisins, Aslam wants to eat the magic raisin but the raisin goes back to peddler’s bag.

Aslam says that he knows a joke about raisins. Peddler asks him to tell it. Aslam says: one day a boy goes to a shop and asks for grapes. The shopkeeper says that he doesn’t have it. The boy says that he could see grapes in the shop. the shopkeeper asks about it. The boy points to the grapes and says: I mean those punctured grapes in the tray.

Peddler likes the joke and goes to another alley.

2nd Lane:

Abid and Shazia want to play in the alley but they don’t know what to play. Peddler arrives and after greeting, they ask him to help them in finding a new game.

Peddler turns on a tape recorder. A boy, Wahdatullah asks the following puzzle:

 There are three brothers going around and couldn’t catch each other!

At the beginning, Abid and Shazia are not able to find the correct answer. The peddler helps them and says that people use it in the summer. Finally, Shazia and Abid find the correct answer which is a fan.

Peddler asks them to find some new puzzles for the next time and he goes to the other alley.
