Teeth Decay Due to Calcium Deficiency

Due to the information, provided by the Stomatology Hospital in Kabul city, about 650-700 patients refer daily to that hospital who suffer from dental diseases.

Teeth decay has different causes, one of them is teeth decay due to calcium deficiency.

The writer/producer AEPO has talked to some patients and a stomatologist in the mentioned hospital.

Arezo, a resident of Kabul city says: at the beginning, I saw white spots on my two teeth and then became black and chipped during eating.

A child, Danial says that his all teeth became black and broke.

Doctor Sayed Bahram Sadat, the head of Stomatology Hospital says:

The white dots on the teeth are the signs of calcium deficiency. After sometimes, these spots become yellow and then change into plaque and cause the cavity of the teeth and this cavity reaches the tooth's root and the tooth might break.

Causes:

A woman says: During my pregnancy, I had been avoiding dairies and, at the result, I lost my 6 teeth.

Doctor Sadat says: taking dairy products in the daily meal is very important for the safety of teeth. Paying attention to the cleanliness of teeth; avoid eating candies, chocolates, potato chips and cold drinks and add eggs, fish, corn, fresh fruits, vegetables and other calcium-rich foods to meal regime.
