Ashar (Hashar) is an old tradition in Afghanistan in which people voluntarily and collectively help one another with various tasks. To organize this collective work and cooperation, elders and white-bearded seniors usually encourage the youth through mosques and invite them to participate in Ashar. However, in recent times this tradition has weakened among the people, and as a result, they have faced many problems.
