Watershed
Castel of Thousand Windows
Writer and Producer: Mohammad Anwar Andar
The recent droughts have damaged everything in Afghanistan. In the mountains and hills, trees, shrubs, and the green carpet of grass have been destroyed. As a result, when rainfall occurs, villages, roads, and farmlands are devastated by floods. However, as the saying goes, no matter how high the mountain is, there is always a path over it—if people are united, they can manage rainwater effectively.
Jamal and Hamida came to the mansion. After exchanging greetings, Uncle Lalo asked Jamal about the reason for his fatigue. Jamal said that the recent floods had destroyed the roads and farmlands around their village, and now they were rebuilding the roads and bridges, which was why he was tired. Uncle Lalo said that if watersheds are not properly organized, they indeed cause a lot of destruction. When Hamida and Jamal heard the term watershed, they asked about it, as they were hearing the name for the first time. Uncle Lalo took them both inside the mansion.
