Resolving Disputes about the Ownership of Pastures
Written by: Mir Aqa Etibar
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock of Afghanistan, the agricultural atlas 2016, about 46% of the country's area is pastures, including protected areas.
It is stated that the stabilization of pastures guarantees the public interests, especially those whose occupation is livestock farming, and to provide food, preserve the environment, prevent the destruction of pastures and land, and return those pastures that have been usurped.
Some livestock owners are unaware of pasture regulations, sometimes conflicts take place between them over the pastures. AEPO’s writer/producer has talked to some livestock owners and an agricultural expert about this issue.
