What is Meningitis?
Written by: Muhammad Arif Rahimi
The protective membranes that cover the brain and spinal cord are called meninges, and meningitis is an inflammation of the protective membranes of the brain.
Meningitis might be caused by various factors such as viruses, bacteria, germs, or the administration of certain drugs. Since the meninges are close to the brain and spinal cord, their inflammation can be dangerous.
Meningitis can affect a person at any age. AEPO’s writer/producer has talked to some patients and a physician about this disease's signs, symptoms, treatment, and prevention.
