Typhoid

According to the information, provided by the Infected Diseases Hospital in Kabul city, about 654 typhoid patients are transferred to this hospital in the last six months. The writer/producer AEPO has talked to some patients and a physician regarding typhoid.

A woman says that she has a high fever and lost her 5-kg weight within 27 days of her illness.

Sayed Yahya, another patient says: I suffer from fever, stomach pain, vomiting, and dizziness.

Doctor Enayatullah Suhail, a pediatrician and a specialist in infectious diseases in one of the private hospitals in Kabul city says: typhoid appears soon after typhoid parasite infects the human body.

a headache, red rashes on the skin, vomiting, muscles and body pain, sometimes flue and anorexia are the symptoms of typhoid.

Causes:

Wahid, a resident of Sayad, district of Kapisa province says that if someone does not treat malaria disease, he/she would be infected by typhoid parasite.

A patient says that due to eating potatoes chips in the market, I got typhoid parasite.

Doctor Suhail also says that infected foods and contaminated water could be caused to get typhoid parasite and the fly could also be the cause of carrying typhoid parasite.

Home Treatment:

A woman says that they put some prunes in watermelon overnight, and eat them in the morning.

Sardar Husain, a resident of Surkh-e-parsa, district of Parwan province says: we wash all kinds of vegetables and fresh fruits in salted water or in chlorine before eating and avoid flies in the rooms.

Doctor confirms these suggestions and says that the typhoid patients must be treated by the physician.
