Samargul climbs onto a table to grab the sewing machine from the shelf.  Jandad wants him to take care of himself because the table is broken. Samargul reassures him and meanwhile, the table breaks; the sewing machine and Samargul fall to the ground.

Nazir takes Abdul Qadir to the school and wants Rahim to enroll him in the school. Rahim denies it and says that Abdul Qadir is too young to enroll in the school.

It is midnight, but Samiullah does not sleep. His mother Shukriya asks why he is not sleeping yet.

Samiullah replies that the mosquitoes do not let him sleep.
