Lack of Courage

Nazanin was a 5th class student living in a remote village. She was a very intelligent girl. lack of courage was her weak point and caused her to never get excellent points. Nazanin has no dare to talk or explain the lesson in front of other students or a teacher.

Shekiba was her classmate. She was not as much intelligent as Nazanin was but as she had more courage, she was taking part in any kind of ceremonies in the school and she was always getting the first position in the class.

One-day, the principal of the school launched a contest with a good prize. No one knew the correct answer without Nazanin but she did not dare to answer the question. Shekiba asked Nazanin if she knows the answer or not. Nazanin told the correct answer to Shekiba and Shekiba won the prize.

Nazanin’s another classmate, Tahmina asked her that why she did not reply the question. Nazanin said that she doesn’t have the courage to talk in front of people. Tahmina took her to a chicken’s coop and asked to be there in the coop for a while every day and think that the chickens are the people and talk in front of them. Nazanin did the exercise for some days and soon she became courageous.

Another day, a delegation came from the headquarters of education of the province to Nazanin’s school. The delegation collected all students to evaluate their study. Nazanin presented an article about her school. The delegation appreciated Nazanin’s courage for reading a good article and gave a big gift to her. After that day Nazanin was taking part in all class discussions and got the first position in her class very soon.
