there are many materials in our houses and around us that we think that they are useless and we throw them away but Some people have the skill to use the useless materials and get benefit from them.

Writer/producer AEPO has talked to Bilqis Ahmadi, a resident of Kabul city.

Bilqis Ahmadi says: I am graduated from the faculty of fine arts of Kabul University.

I know painting, and beside painting, I want to make something new. Nowadays, I make decorated flowers at home. when some guests came to my house, they liked my work and ordered to make something for them too.

I use useless materials around us which people throw them away. For instance, when I saw the pine flowers dropped on the earth, I decided to make something from them. First, I made a frame from a rope and then I used the pine tree flowers, a string of sack, wheat cluster, dried useless flowers, two types of spray and thorns and made a decorated panel. I spent about 700 Afghanis on the panel and sold it for 2000 Afghanis.

Besides that, I also make Chines flowers, fruits decorated trays, grapes clusters and some other things for fridge decoration. Chines flowers are made of the mixture of wax, starch, glycerin, a special glue of wood, varnish, sprays, and Vaseline. One bunch of Chinese flowers is sold for 4-5 thousand Afghanis.
