Daughter's Right to Inheritance

Written by: Muzamil Shah Watandost

Inheritance is consisted of money and other properties, which a person has the right to acquire due to the death of a person only due to relative connection.

In most provinces of Afghanistan, when a person dies, his children, both sons and daughters, divide their father's inheritance among themselves according to law and Sharia; but from time to time it has been seen in some areas that some of them do not give inheritance rights to their sisters which might cause some problems.

AEPO’s writer/producer has talked to some people and a religious scholar about this issue.
