Horned Goat

Written by: Nasratullah Samim

Once upon a time, two goats (white and horned) lived in a house. One day the owner of the house bought a black goat. The horned goat was happy and told the black goat that the white goat never plays with her.

The horned goat went back and jumped on the rope where the clothes were hanging to dry and cut the rope. The black goat laughed and shouted baa.

The white goat stopped her, but the horned goat whispered in the black goat's ear. Both goats hit the white goat and the white goat cried.
The horned goat and the black goat were always making trouble for the white goat. The white goat advised them not to be so naughty and disturbing, but they refused.

One day, the black goat said that their owner feeds the white goat first and then them. Meanwhile, the horned goat saw the gate of the house opened. She and black goat went outside and played on the clover field and trampled the ground.

When the owner of the goats saw that the black and horned goats trampled the field, he got angry and told his son to take the two goats to hillside where he kept honey bees.

The boy took the goats to the mentioned place and tied them to a big tree and he went somewhere.

The goats jumped over the bee boxes. The bees attacked and stung them. The goats cried but there was on one to help them.

On the other hand, the white goat was very sad to be separated from the black and horned goat, but there was no way to approach them.
The goats stayed overnight on the hillside for the first time. They heard the dog’s barking and cried.

The black goat told the horned goat that the white goat advised them but they did not accept.
The boy heard the bleating of the goats and saved them from the dog.

Many days passed. The white goat got bored at home and finally went to the hillside.

When black and horned goats saw the white goat, they were very happy and started playing with her.

When the boy saw them playing, he took them home. The black and horned goats told the white goat that they now know the importance of playing without hurting each other.
