Thirsty Monkey

there were three monkeys, Ablaqak, Khaldarak, and Chaghak, living in a big jungle. One year they faced drought and next year they decided to move to another jungle. Abalqak suggested them that each one should dig a pond for himself/herself and collect rainwater but Chaghak said that she has no time to do it.

Next day, all monkeys came together and started their work but Chaghak was absent. They found her eating fruits in a tree. Khaldarak asked him to come and dig a pond for herself but she said that her friend, elephant promised her to dig a pond in a minute.

in a few days, each of them dug a pond. Chaghak went to elephant’s home and asked him to keep his promise but elephant said that he is sick and could not help him now, and he would help her later

Many days passed and the weather became very hot. The elephant did not come to dig a pond for Chaghak. One-day Chaghak was thirsty. He asked Khaldarak for some drinking water but she refused to give her and said her to ask elephant’s help. Ablaqak also refused to give her water. Chaghak became unconscious and fell down on the ground.  Khaldarak and Ablaqak took her to a pond and splashed some water on her face, and she came to her sense. They gave her some water to drink. Khaldarak and Ablaqak said her that she could use water from their ponds.

When Chaghak saw the help of other monkeys, she regretted that why she was not working herself and was waiting for the elephant to dig her a pond.
