If we have money and do not start a business, we would not be able to increase our capital and if we have low capital and have an accurate elaborate, we could increase our capital step by step.

AEPO’s writer/producer has talked to Haroun, a resident of Kabul city.

Haroun says, “I was a mercenary but I was not able to solve my all economic problems. About 2 years ago I bought a dairy cow for 130 thousand Afghanis. I paid 40 thousand Afghanis to the owner of the cow and I promised him that I would pay him the remainder in one year.

My cow produces about 13 kilograms of milk daily in the winter but in other seasons of the year, the amount of milk is more than that. I also buy milk from other cattle owners and then I prepare dairy products. I sell dairy products in my shop. I sell about 50 kilograms of dairy products daily and can solve my economic problems.”

Fruit Drying:

Purchasing raw materials in their seasons is more beneficial. AEPO’s writer/producer has talked to Bilal, a resident of Kabul city.

Bilal talks about his business, “I dry fruits like watermelons, apricots, peaches, kiwi, and blackberries and so on. When the fruit merchants could not export fruits to foreign countries for any reason, or the gardeners could not sell the fruits, the price of fresh fruits decreased, and I buy fruits for drying.

We dry the fruits first that might spoil soon and then the other fruits. In the beginning, we wash the fruits and then we dry them in a machine and then we pack them for selling.

Our customers are foreign embassies; big stores and we also export these items to abroad too.”
