Considering the needs of people is one of the ways of business success. AEPO’s writer/producer has talked to Wahidullah Kuhistani now living in Kabul city.

Kuhistani says about his business, “When I saw that many people are busy in their daily works and they do not have enough time to pay electricity bill to bank. I decided to help them with this issue. In the beginning, I talked to the authorities of Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS), and then I purchased machinery for this purpose. The electricity bills for 35000 Afghanis. I get 20 Afghanis fees from each bill and I almost collect about 10 bills daily.”

Rural Girl and Business:

Robina, a resident of Farza district, Kabul province says, “I a student and I also help in home chores. We have a cow and take care of it.

We have a fruit garden and I pick up plums from the trees and after washing them, I sprinkle salt on them and leave them over a night and then I peel them and put them in the sun for drying. After drying I pack the plums and my father sell them in the market. The price of each 7 kilograms plum is about 700-1000 Afghanis. I dry about 80 kilograms of plums in one season. My father is suffering from heart disease and I support my family with my business.”
