In the production of goods, in addition to good quality and reasonable price, considering some other points can also be useful and lead to more sales. AEPO’s writer/producer has talked to Wais Sartaj, a resident of Kabul city.

Sartaj says about his business, “I began to make decorative swings for rooms and backyards about two years back. The swings that we make are transferable. In terms of beauty and elegance, there are fewer such swings found in the market. The swings have pillows and are made for one person and if the customer orders, we can make them for two or more persons too.

In the beginning, we made a few swings and took them to the market for sale. The shopkeepers welcomed our work and we received more orders, so we were confident in the success of our work.

We could make about 30 swings monthly and our customers are families and some stores.”

Chess Boards:

Those who have learned new skills, could promote their business and get convenient income.

AEPO’s writer/producer has talked to Ibdal Ashoor, a resident of Kabul city.

Ashoor says about his business, “I saw that stone chess boards have a good market, I learned making stone chess boards in two years about 20 years ago.

First, I saw the marble, coral, and turquoise stones, then I cut them one by one according to the colors of the chess column. The next work is smoothing and polishing the boards and making pieces of chess similar to the wooden pieces.

When I make a few chess boards, I take them to antique shops, and they find customers for the products and the shopkeepers order me. I can make one chess board daily and get about 1500-2000 benefit from each piece of chess boards.”
