innovation in business

A number of businessmen become disappointed for not having market for their goods but some of them have found a solution for this issue.

AEPO’s writer/producer has talked Shafiqullah, a resident of Kabul city.

Shafiqullah says, “I was engaged in metalworks like designing house gates, doors and fences but I had not enough customers. Once I designed a flowerpot stand from metal and customers liked it than I replaced my previous business with making and designing metal flowerpot stands about 5 years ago.

When I make some pieces of these items, I take of sample of them to greenhouses and florists. If they like them, I design more and they purchase them. My customers are florists, greenhouses and ordinary people.”

Production of foreign goods:

Some people make goods that are more expensive in the markets and gain a good profit from them. AEPO’s writer/producer has talked to Parwiz, another resident of Kabul city.

Parwiz says, “In the beginning, I surveyed the market and found out that exported tarpaulins had a good market then I decided to produce this item inside the country. I hired some workers and I started my business. We make tarpaulin for any kind of car. The price of our products is twice the cheaper of the exported tarpaulins. We spend about 300 Afghanis on each tarpaulin and then we get about 100 Afghanis to benefit from each piece of them.

Our customers are mostly car owners, and at the same time, some of the decoration shops  also buy these goods from us in bulk and we are happy with our work.”
