Eid and Reconciliation

In Afghanistan, sometimes quarrels take place between families, friends, relatives or villagers. These quarrels cause sadness between them. This sadness might last for a long time and some people might cut their relation with each other.
What would be the result of this suffocation?
The writer/producer of AEPO has talked to some witnesses of such incidents.
Mohammad Ishaq, a resident of Shakar Dara, district of Kabul province says: “Once, one of my relatives was joking with his friend. His friend became angry and killed my relative with a knife. Those families became enemy of each other. The family of the murderer left the village.
How could one solve these issues?
We could reconcile annoyed people anytime of the year but most of Afghans wait for Eid’s days. A woman says that her sons had a quarrel on irrigation of land with the sons of her brother-in-law. On Eid day, she reconciled them and now they live in peace.
