The coronavirus is transmitted from an infected person to a healthy one in various ways, such as handshake; Hugging; kissing; eating and drinking together; Use of equipment by many persons, and so on. What kind of health problems can we face if we do not observe physical distance at home and in the community?

AEPO’s writer/producer has talked to some Covid19 patients and a physician about this issue.

Rona Samim says, “My groom transferred coronavirus to home from his office. I suggested my daughter be careful with her husband but she said that her husband was not infected with the coronavirus. My daughter came to our house, I did not consider social distance with her, the virus transmitted to me, I transmitted to the other members of our family including children, and we suffered pain and severe fever. I was suffering from asthma as well.”

Hamdullah, a resident of Konar province says, “My brother was always going to the bazaar and he was not considering the social distance. He was infected with coronavirus and then he transmitted the virus to the other members of our family and there was no one healthy to help us and we all spent a very hard time during this disease.”

What do people think about the causes of transmitting coronavirus?

Hamdullah says, “The main cause of transmitting coronavirus is not considering the social distance and not using a facemask.”

Tariq, a resident of Maidan-Wardak province says, “I did not consider socialdistance in the bazaar and I infected with the coronavirus. My mother touched my hand and the virus transmitted to her too.”

Doctor Naim Akbary, a physician at contagious diseases hospital, Kabul city says, “COVID-19 spreads between people, mainly when an infected person is in close contact with another person. The virus can spread from an infected person’s mouth or nose in small liquid particles when they cough, sneeze, speak, sing, or breathe heavily.

Other people can catch COVID-19 when the virus gets into their mouth, nose, or eyes, which is more likely to happen when people are in direct or close contact (less than 2 meters away) with an infected person. Each infected person can transmit coronavirus to at least 4 healthy persons.”

How people prevent the spreading of coronavirus?

Muhibullah Atal, the principal of Atal private school in Kabul city says, “We had 25-30 students in each classroom but now we consider the social distance and we do not allow more than 10-15 students to be seated in one classroom.

We consider 2 meters distance between each chair and we do not let two students sit together. about 550 students are studying at this school. Before we were teaching them in a single shift but now, we have divided them into three shifts and we do not have any positive case of coronavirus in our school yet.”

Ismail Hijran, a resident of Nangarhar province says, “Our family has 6 members and we consider social distance and health tips. When we want to leave home for the bazaar, we use facemask; we avoid going to a gathering; we do not shake the hand and nor hug o kiss each other and none of us is infected with coronavirus yet.”

Doctor Akbary confirms what the people say for avoiding the spreading of Covid19.
