I live in Dasht-i-Barchi, district 5, Kabul city but I sell mechanic clothes in the second part of Karti-Parwan and Baraki, 2nd district, city where there are more car workshops. I sell about 15 pairs of such clothes per day and I get about 500 benefits daily.”
New Skills:
AEPO’s writer/producer has talked to Mustafa Niazi, a resident of Kabul city who paints on the felt with needlework.
Niazi says, “Painting is my profession and I started painting about 15 years ago. Recently I have started to paint on felt and then I embroider with a needle. In the beginning, I was just painting on felt but some customers complained that the painting removes from the felt then I started to embroider the painting too. I embroider different sceneries on the felt according to the order of my customers and I also exhibit my works in exhibitions held in Kabul city. I get about 2000 benefits from each piece of my work.”
