Stoney Snowball

Written by: Abdullah Fazli

One winter day, when snow was falling, three monkeys: Red, White and Long-Tail went out of their homes and want to play. Long-Tail suggested to play with snow and the others accepted.

Red and Long-Tail stood one side and White on the other side and they were making snowballs and hitting each other with them.

White asked Long-Tail and Red to make small snowballs but Red made a very hard snowball and hit the White and White cried.

Red and Long-Tail went near to White and they saw that blood was flowing from her ear.

Meanwhile, the brother of White, Gray heard the crying of his brother and came to help him. When Red and Long-Tail saw Gray, they ran away.

Gray asked his brother about the cause of his crying. White told him the whole story.

Gray chased Red and Long-Tail but he could not find them. He took his brother home and a few days, White became well and went out from his home with Gray.

White heard the crying of a monkey from a pit. He went near and saw that Long-Tail was fallen in the pit. White asked about his trouble. Long-Tail said that he was playing snow with the cub of leopard and he hit me on my eye with a hard snowball and I fell in the pit. Long-Tail continued that he lost his one eyesight. White warned that she would take his revenge from him but Long-Tail asked him to rescue him. White left him alone.

Buzzards were flying over the head of Long-Tail and he was afraid of them and he came out from the pit with so difficulties but he was not able to go ahead and laid down on the snow in the jungle and he thought that buzzards would soon eat him. Meanwhile, White came back and said that he would rescue him for his good friendship with him in the past.

Long-Tail regretted what he had done with White and said that he would never forget her assistance.
