Many people in Afghanistan are engaged in different occupations as: carpentry, painting houses and so on. Some of them could get enough benefit from their work.

Naqibullah Anwary is a resident of Kabul city, who has a company of producing iron railings. He sells these railings to other companies and individuals.

He says to the writer/producer of AEPO:

“Six years back, we surveyed the market and found that many people needed the iron railings and that they were importing them from abroad.

At the beginning, we prepared two types of railings; as they had a good market, now we produce about 20 types.

The main difference between the railings we produce and imported ones is that our products could be folded if needed. We buy raw materials from a whole seller  in the market and we have 10 employees in this company.

Most of our customers are from super markets, stores, libraries, official and private offices.

Tissue paper:

Isamail Hamidi is a resident of Mazar-e-Sharif, the owner of tissue paper and napkins making factory. He says: “Ten years back, we funded about 5 million Afghanis on machines and other equipment. We imported the machines and raw materials form abroad.

At the beginning, the machines were analog and later we changed them to digital.

Our machines cut paper in deferent sizes and put them in the boxes. Most of our customers are hotels, shops, super markets and other people.
