Afghanistan has a good climate for agriculture and many people of the rural areas have land. Some of those who have more land, could not get enough benefit. Rahmatullah, a resident of Kabul province has six acres of land. Last year, he cultivated potato and onion, but got no benefit.

Some other landowners, who has a small piece of land, know how to use it to get more benefit.

Lala Gul is a resident of Paghman, district of Kabul province, says to the writer/producer of AEPO:

“I imported about 2000 bulbs of flower from Holland and spent  Afs 32000 on transportation of them. I planted them in a half of an acre of land in a row and left about 15-20cm space between each row.

Space between bulbs is 10cm and depth of each bulb is 15cm. We fertilize 15 trolley to each 100 square meter land. During the season of the flowers, florists come and buy each flower at Afs 15-25. We earn about Afs 140000 Each year.
