It is Hamida’s henna night and many girls and women are gathered in Sarwar Khan’s house. Shahperai wants to apply henna on Hamida’s hand. Aqila asks Shahperai to do a nice design on Hamida’s hand.

Jandad says to Naseem that he has bought sandals for Omid. Naseem blames him for not buying shoes from his shop to Omid instead of sandals.

Nazir gives the home medicines’ bottles to Purdil and says due to his wrong advice, he was near to be sent to jail. Purdil says that Nazir does not know business.

Omid hangs her sandals around his neck. Zarghona asks the reason. Omid says that he is afraid of losing his sandals again.

Raheem seems happy. His wife, Atifa  asks the reason for his happiness. Raheem says that Mullah encouraged the villagers to take part in the elections.

Karim is preparing a feast for the villager to vote for him and says to Sayed Muhammad that the rice might not be sufficient for all the villagers.

Sayed Muhammad assures him and says that he has cooked enough rice.

Zarmeena wants a bottle of tomato paste from Shazia and also she asks about Majid’s health.

Shazia gives her the tomato paste bottle and says that Majid is recovered and he has started his old occupation again.

It is Qambargul’s wedding days. Qambargul says that his new shoes are lost. Nazir says that he has hidden his shoes and when Qambargul gives him some money, he would give his shoes back to him.

Mahjabeen says to Raheem that small student might get hurt in the crowd during dismissal time of the school.

Raheem says that he would discuss the issue in a meeting with the teachers.

 Some women are preparing the bride (Palwasha) for going to Sarwar Khan’s house. Shahperai says that she is very thirsty. Rabiagul mocks Zarmina and says that she could not welcome her guests.

Ahmad is sitting beside his wife, Palwasha. Gulalai brings tea for them. Ahmad asks Palwasha to help Gulalai in house chores but Gulalai denies and says that Palwasha is a bride.

Scene: 19681

Raheem says to the students that the office has decided to select two students from each class to arrange other students during dismissal time of school.

Shams suggests if Raheem selects him the member of the discipline committee.

Shamla thanks Gulalai for helping her in the campaign. Gulalai wishes her success in the elections.

During the dismissal time in the school, Mahjabeen asks the student to stand in a row and leave the school two by two. Omid appreciates the decision.

Karim prevents the villager to vote for Shamla in a big gathering. Abida asks the reason. Karim says that Shamla is a woman and she is not our villager neither. Abida condemns him and says that women also have the right to be elected.
