Establishing University entry Exam courses for Rural Girls in the Cities
Most Afghan students have to pass the university entrance exam for admitting to the university after graduating from high school. To pass the exam, they have to study hard at home and also in the university entry exam courses. More of these courses are in the cities and rural students, especially girls could not attend such courses.

AEPO’s writer/producer has talked to some girls about this issue.
Lema, a resident of Laghman province says: “we live in a village from the city and there is no university entry exam course and all such courses are located in the city and we could not attend the courses. I like medicines and wanted to be a doctor but unfortunately, I failed in the exam.”
Kamila, a resident of Jaghori district, Ghazni province says: “I had problems in mathematics and there is no course for university entry exam in our area to learn mathematics, so I failed in the exam.”

How elders of the villages could handle this issue?

Abdul Hameed, a resident of Farza district, Kabul province says: “we do not have any university entry exam course in our village. I established such a course in one of my house’s rooms and I teach the important subjects to the girls of our village in that course.”
Fatima Fayazi, a resident of Ghazni province says: “I had many problems in my village in Ghazni because our home was far from the city and was not able to go the courses. One of my friends told me that there are university entry exam courses in Kabul city and beside the courses, they have hostels too. I came to Kabul and now I could solve my all problems.”

Khadija, a resident of Maidan-Wardak province says: “when I came to Kabul and studied the course, I succeeded to the Medicines University and now I am a doctor in my village.”
