Those women who are busy in economic activity but do not know how to find a market for their products but some other women who have enough experience in this field could solve this problem.

AEPO’s writer/producer had a visit from Badakhshan province and she has talked to Shaima Safi, a resident of Faizabad city.

Safi says: “I have worked for different offices and I was traveling to the different part of Badakhshan province during my job. I found that some women had chicken farms and were keeping livestock but did not know how and where to sell their products and they were keeping their products at their homes.

Once I had gone to Ishkashim district, Badakhshan province. I visited a sick woman and due to the lack of doctors, she had aborted her child. They had plenty of dairies but did not know how to sell them. They did not have money to go to a physician to another place. I faced some other women who were preparing different kinds of handicrafts but could not find a market for their products. I decided to start a work that I and they could get the benefit of those products. I bought sewing machines and other handicraft equipment for 100 thousand Afghanis for them.

Beside swing for me, I taught them some health tips and also, they learned how to find a market for their products.

I have hired 50 women in Baharak district and 50 others in Shuhada district and they have become self-sufficient. I have opened to more working centers too."

Laser printing Machines:

AEPO’s writer/producer has talked to Hidayat,  a resident of Kabul city about his business.

Hidayat says: “when I was graduating from the university, I faced many problems in covering my monograph. Later I decided to find a solution to this problem. I bought a laser printing machine for 150 thousand Afghanis for this purpose. This machine could print about 500 monographs covers daily. We spend 150 Afghanis on each cover and we sell it for 180 Afghanis.

In the winter, we get 50 thousand Afghanis to benefit from monographs' covers but, in the summer, when there is no monograph, we sign contracts with schools and print covers for attendance books.
