Over the last few years, some people are trying different ways to earn more money. AEPO’s writer/producer has talked to Muhammad Younus Arash, who has a bakery production unit in Kabul city.

Arash says: “I learn to bake different varieties of pieces of bread with my father during immigration. When I returned to Kabul, I opened a bakery plant 10 years ago and now about 600 shopkeepers are our customers and we have three sale branches in Khairkhana, Microrayon, and Mirwais Maidan, Kabul city. My brother (an economist) is helping me.

Her trained our distributors how to find a market for the products. We appreciated the views and suggestions of our customers and brought some essential changes to our products. Now we are producing 27 kinds of sweets and pieces of bread and we can compete with other equivalent companies in the market.

Advanced Cameras:

AEPO’s writer/producer has talked to Muhammad Naim Hanafi, a resident of Kabul city, who rents advanced cameras.

Hanafi says: “at the beginning, I was working with another photographer and he was paying me about 4000 Afghanis salary monthly. As that salary was not sufficient for my home necessities, I borrowed some money from my friends and I bought 2 advanced digital cameras with two extra lenses and then I opened my own shop and started to lend the cameras to the customers.

I get 500-1000 Afghanis fees from each camera for one day. If any customer doesn’t know the usage of the cameras, I send a professional person with him/her for making film and photography. My monthly incomes reach up 12000 Afghanis.
