According to the information provided by the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations of Afghanistan, about 5500 refugees return from Pakistan and Iran to Afghanistan daily. Most of the returnees want their children to continue their study here inside the country. Some families who do not bring their children’s education documents from the host country, they would face problems.

AEPO’s writer/producer has talked about this issue with some students, their parents and a coordinator of Kabul city education department.

Nasrullah, a resident of Kunar province says: “my brother and sister were in ninth-grade during immigration. When we returned to Afghanistan, we did not bring their education documents. the authorities of education in Afghanistan enrolled them in seventh-grade.”

Farida, a student says: “those students who want to return to their country, they should bring school transfer sheets and transcripts of the school record.”
Ahmad Shah Arabzai, head of coordination, education department, Kabul city says: “at the beginning, the returnees should have registered transfer sheets.

The international relation department of the ministry of education checks and confirms their immigration documents, and department of Kabul city would confirm their education documents and they would decide about the returnees’ future education.

Those returnees who do not have such documents, they would have a level test and we would temporary enroll them according to their knowledge level. At the end of the education year, they would participate in the final exam."
