Greeting to the Teacher

First Lane:

Wahida is repeating a part of a melody in the alley with herself. Nazir asks her to tell him the whole melody. Wahida says that she is waiting for the peddler to come and then she would tell it to him.

Peddler arrives. Children greet him. Nazir says to peddler that Wahida has learned a new melody. Peddler asks her to tell the melody to him and other children.

Wahida says that the melody is about good manner at school and tells the whole melody.

Peddler appreciates her and wants the children to learn more melodies and he goes to another alley.

Second Lane:

Maryam is laughing with herself and says to Idris that she has learned a new joke. Idris asks her to tell it to him too. Peddler arrives and after greeting, he asks Maryam to tell the joke.

Maryam says the following joke:

“A girl went to her friend’s house on Friday. The host girl said to her guest that her hen lays an egg every day. the guest girl stayed till evening on her friend's house but the hen did lay any egg. The guest girl asked the reason. The host girl said that today is Friday and a holiday.”

Peddler likes the joke and wants the children to learn more jokes and he goes to the next alley.

Third Lane:

Mahmood is angry and asks Zarmina not to teach him politeness. Peddler arrives and they greet him.

Peddler asks about their argument. Zarmina says that their teacher was passing the way but Mahmood did not greet him.

Mahmood says that greeting to teachers is important only at school.

Peddler turns on the talking box. A student, Maryam says: “I always greet my teacher because she is older than me.”

A third-grade student, Gulsoom says: “I always greet those who are elder than me and I greet my teacher too. When I go home, I also greet my parents.”

Peddler turns off the talking box.

Mahmood says: “now I know that teachers are older than us and they are like our parents and we should respect them everywhere.”

Peddler appreciates them by giving some gift and he went home.
