According to the information provided by the ministry of public health of Afghanistan About 4700 people injured or killed in traffic accidents in this country annually.

The vehicle is one of the facilities for the human being. If someone doesn’t pay attention during driving or drives in high- speed, he/she might face crucial problems. The writer/producer AEPO has talked to some people and drivers about this issue.

A passenger, Mohammad Ismail says: I was traveling to Nimroz province. There were five buses and they had a race between them. All passengers were afraid that an accident might take place. No one went to sleep for 16 hours trip.

Mohammadullah, a driver of Ghazni province says: I was coming from Ghazni. I saw that a Town Ace (a kind of vehicle) was driving at a high speed and suddenly it turned over. There were more casualties in the vehicle and I helped them to come out of the Town Ace.

Another driver, Sayed Alam says: I had a Corolla and was driving at a very high speed. Five months before I crashed my car into another car and I went into the coma. When I got my health back, my car was out of use and I sold it as spare parts.

The causes:

Akhtar Mohammad, a driver from Maidan-Wardak province says: some passengers do not have patience. They ask the driver to increase the speed and some drivers use earphones and listen to songs and they might face some crucial problems.

A passenger, Sayed Alam says: there is on traffic sings on the high ways and the drivers drive as they wish and no one would ask them.

Having patience during driving, not smoking or being drunk, have enough experience in driving, obeying traffic regulations and avoid racing are the points which could be useful for safe driving.
