Running on Ice

First Lane:

Hayat and his sister, Shakira are standing beside a stream in the lane. Hayat becomes happy to see that the stream water is frozen and he wants Shakira to play with him on the ice.

 Shakira denies and says that she is afraid of ice. When Hayat wants to run on the ice, the ice breaks and Hayat wants Shakira to help him but Shakira cries and could not help him.

Meanwhile, the peddler arrives and he rescues Hayat and wants him to sit in the sun.

 The peddler asks Hayat what he was doing with ice.

Hayat replies that he thought that the ice might be thick and when he wanted to run on it, the ice was thin and broke.

The peddler says that the stream is very deep but Hayat was lucky to hold the branch of the tree otherwise he might sink and wet hisclothes and the wet clothesmight cause him sickness.

 Peddler says that running on ice has more dangers. The children ask about the dangers.

Peddler brings out his magic mirror from the bag.

Hayat and Shakira see a child in the mirror whose both legs are in a cast.

Shakira asks the children about his trouble. The child replies that he was running on ice, suddenly he slipped and broke and his both legs.

 The peddler puts the mirror back in his bag.

Hayat promises that he would never play on ice afterward.

Peddler suggests playing on the ice which is on the ground not on streams.

When the peddler wants to leave the lane, Hayat stops him says that he remembers a joke. Peddler wants him to tell the joke.

Hayat says, “A boy kept a piece of ice in the sun and was looking around it. His friend asked about the cause. The boy replied that he wanted to find the hole that the water drops from it.”

Peddler likes the joke and wants them to learn more jokes for next time and then he goes to the next lane.

Second Lane:

Najiba and her brother, Saleem are sitting in the sun. Saleem stands in front of the sun and makes a shadow on Najiba. Najiba wants him to let the sun shines on her. Meanwhile, the peddler arrives and they warmly welcome him.

Peddler sees toward a tree. Saleem asks about the cause. Peddler replies that he remembers a puzzle.

Children want him to tell the puzzle and they would try to find the correct answer for it.

Peddler tells, “What is it that has neither body nor soul, but moves in every direction?”

Saleem and Najiba find some answers but the peddler doesn’t accept. Finally, they find the correct answer which is shadow.

Peddler gives each of them a pair of gloves and he goes to the last lane.

Third Lane:

Naim and Palwasha are repeating the previous part of the serial story. Peddler and Golden Wing fairy come and they listen to them.

Then the fairy tells them a new part of the story and wants the children to learn it and tells her next time.
