First Lane:

Two pigeons are on the roof. Masouda says to her brother, Ilham that she has learned a melody about pigeons. Ilham wants her to tell it him too. Meanwhile, the peddler arrives and they welcome him. Ilham says to the peddler that Masouda has learned a melody about pigeons. Peddler wants Masouda to tell the melody. Masouda tells it two times; Ilham and other children repeat and learn the melody.

Peddler wants to go the next lane but Ilham stops him and tells him the following joke.

“A thief went to a house and he saw a big television in a room. He turned on the television to check if it’s not broken. A football match was showing on the television. The thief liked that match and sat to watch it. Meanwhile, the owner of the house woke up and he saw that a man was watching the TV. The owner of the house asked the person to introduce himself. The thief replied that he is a member of the football team and the referee kicked him out from the football field.”

The peddler and children like the joke. The peddler wants the children to learn more jokes for next time and he goes to the next lane.

Second Lane:

Farid gives a few almonds to Samira and says that his grandfather has brought them from Zabul province.

Samira wishes if they also have almond plants in their yard.

Farid says that almond doesn’t have plants. Meanwhile, the peddler comes and after greeting, he says that almond has trees. Samira asks about almond trees. The peddler says that the almond is a medium-sized tree with narrow, light green leaves. Unlike the fig and oleaster, the almond does not live to a great age. Almond is the first tree to blossom in the spring.

Samira and Farid become happy to learn something new about the almond tree and the peddler gives them some almonds for eating and he goes to the other lane.

Third Lane:

Qadir and Khaibar have made kites and they want to measure the string by span. Peddler arrives and says that string and some other objects are measured by the meter, not by span.

Children ask about the meter. Peddler says that one meter is 100 centimeters and it is almost 4 spans.

Children like the information about meter and peddler wants them to share the information with their friends.
