The picnic is one of the rights of citizenship in all countries of the world, but in Afghanistan, some people, who go to a picnic, contaminate river or stream water near the parks and cause some health problems.

The Writer/producer AEPO has talked to some people in a recreation place in Paghman, district of Kabul province:

Haji Saifurrahman says: one day I washed my face in a stream, and after a while, my face got itching and it lasted for three days; then I had to go to a doctor.

Some other people, who had used river water, had faced varieties of skin diseases and those who had drunk stream or river water near the parks, had suffered from stomach pain, vomiting, and some other diseases.

Saifullah, a resident of Paghman says that they do not use streams water because of people, who come to picnic, throw every kind of garbage in the water.

But Mariam, a resident of Jalalabad, the center of Nangarhar province, who has come for the picnic to Paghman Valley, says:

we always come to picnic but we collect the garbage in a plastic and throw them in a dustbin or if there is no dustbin near the parks, we take them with us and throw them in a specific place.

If all people, who go to a picnic, pay attention to the cleanliness of the park, they would definitely help to prevent varieties of diseases which are generated by contaminating stream water.
