Some students in the cities of Afghanistan go-to learning courses in the winter vacations but most students in the remote areas could not attend learning courses in the winter vacations and they might face problems after the starting of the new education year.

AEPO’s writer/producer has talked to some people about this issue.

A man, a resident of Kapisa province says, “I have 6 children and one of them is a seventh-grade student but he is not able to write his name yet. He is always playing with his friends.”

Sayedullah, a twelfth-grade student, a resident of Alinegar district, Laghman province says, “We don’t have educational courses in our area and as I did not attend any learning course in last year winter vacation, I failed in the school.”

How the villagers find a solution to this issue?
Gul Agha says, “All villagers hire a teacher in the winter vacations for school children. The teacher prepares them a timetable for their learning and playing and he also encourages the children to help their parents in free time.”

Ziauddin, a resident of Laghman province says, “I and my sisters learn school lessons from a home teacher in the winter vacations. The teacher helps us in mathematics, chemistry, and physics but we study other school books at home. When the new education year starts, we do not have any problems in our school lessons.”
