Less Resources, Suitable Environment

When choosing a restaurant, the first thing to be considered is healthy food. But some customers choose some restaurants not only for good foods but also for having a suitable environment. AEPO’s writer/producer has talked to Malik Sediqi, the owner of a restaurant in Kabul city.

Sediqi talks about his business, “I have opened a small restaurant about 3 months ago. We have prepared a closed environment inside the restaurant and an open-air environment outside the restaurant. We have decorated the outside environment with a variety of beautiful fresh flowers and placed coffee tables so that we could increase the number of our customers.

We have spent about 100 thousand Afghanis in preparing both environments. The inside of the restaurant is made of woods in a classic shape and these tips are caused to increase the number of our customers.

We have a special place inside the restaurant for women too.”

Making Carrom Board:

AEPO’s writer/producer has talked to Bidar Ahmadi, a resident of Kabul city who makes carrom boards. Ahmadi says about his business, “I have learned making carrom boards when I was in one of the foreign countries, and when I came back to Afghanistan, I started my work.

I make carrom board from 3 or 4 layers board and if a customer orders, I can make it from the walnut wood too. I make the frame of it from pine wood.

I sell carrom boards online and also I sell them in the shops who sell carom boards. My monthly income reaches about 50 thousand Afghanis.”
