There are many restaurants in different cities in Afghanistan. Several restaurants have convenient sales and customers; but some others have closed their restaurants even though they haven't been long since they started.

AEPO’s writer/producer has talked to a small restaurant owner, Waris in Kabul city who seems happy with his business.

Waris talks about his business, “I opened a small restaurant in a place of Kabul city that there are many fruit sellers and bus stops. I cook beans, peas, ladyfingers, and some other foods that all customers could purchase them and I offer them at a low rate.

Before renting the shop at the restaurant, I talked to the shopkeepers and drivers of the area and they encouraged me to open the restaurant.
I have more than 70 customers daily and get about 700 Afghanis of the daily benefit.”

Painting and calligraphy courses:

AEPO’s writer/producer had a trip to Mazar-e-Sharif city, Balkh province and there he has talked to Rukhsar Qazizada.

Qazizada says about her business, “I have studied fine arts and this is my first year of opening of the course of painting and calligraphy with the collaboration of some other professional masters of fine arts. We teach different arts in our course. We are four masters, and each of us has been professionally trained in different parts of art, and we teach students in painting, miniature, calligraphy, and gilding.

About 100 students are learning in this course and 50 % of them are girls. We get 500 hundred monthly fees from the new student and other students pay 300 Afghanis monthly fees. Our time begins from 8 am and lasts until 4 pm. we also hold exhibitions to attract more students and customers.”
