contaminated Water

Emal was a boy living in a green village with his family. One day he became ill. He had stomach ache and vomiting. His father took him to the village clinic. Doctor asked his father that what Emal had eaten.

His father mentioned of daily food. Doctor advised him to have a laboratory test. The result showed that he had eaten some contaminated food, but Emal pretended that had not eaten anything wrong. Doctor prescribed him some medicines. He recovered with them after a few days.

One day Emal got the same illness again and his father took him to the clinic. Doctor asked him to bring what he had eaten. His father brought some cooked vegetable and the remaining water, from which Emal had drank.

When he checked it in the laboratory, the food was good but the water had some microbes in it.

The doctor showed Emal a film on tv.In the film, a girl was very thirsty, she drank water from the stream of her village. The water seemed very clear, but when a technologist showed it in a microscope, many microbes were seen in the water. The girl became ill. She had stomach ache and vomiting as Emal had.

Emal promised that he would no longer drink stream water. Doctor said that he could use stream water if needed but it should be boiled before use.
