In recent years, many restaurants have been opened in Afghanistan and they want to attract customers’ attention to their restaurants by providing services in different ways.

AEPO’s writer/producer has talked to Mushtaq Ahmadi, a resident of Kabul city.

Ahmadi talks about his business, “I have opened a restaurant with a traditional environment and traditional foods about 7 months ago. I have prepared all the equipment from different provinces and most of them are wooden.

We have spent about 1 million Afghanis for preparing the equipment such as green spaces; traditional cottages; wooden tables, chairs, cressets and wooden places for sitting. We have also bought homemade kilims and potteries.

When the customers once come to our restaurant, they tell their other friends about this restaurant and most of our customers celebrate their children’s anniversary here in this restaurant.”

Learning New Skills:

Some juveniles learn a skill that fewer people know about it. AEPO’s writer/producer has talked to Ahmad Firoz, a resident of Kabul city.

Firoz talks about his business, “I was an apprentice for eight years in one of our neighboring countries and after four years, I learned the art of engraving sculpture and when I came back to Afghanistan, I started my own business. I also make home decorative materials.

I make these sculptures from a type of fiber-like materials and then I make the frame of the object by hand and then I cut and engrave it in different designs.

I prepare the decorative sculptures according to the order of my customers and I can prepare about 10 sculptures in a week. My customers are stores and ordinary people and my monthly income reaches to (80-100) thousand Afghanis.”
