Informing Family Members when You Leave Home

People have to go out of their homes to solve their problems. Some of them inform their family members and some of them do not. When they spend more time outside, their family members worry about them.

 AEPO’s writer/producer has talked to some people about this issue.

Hamida, a resident of Herat province says, “One my uncle’s wife has gone to the bazaar and she had not informed anyone from leaving home. We searched for hospitals and saw dead bodies if she was among them but we could not find her. We worried that someone might have kidnapped her and we shared the issue with police but we could not find her. After 6 hours, she came back home.”

A girl, a twelfth-grade student, a resident of Kabul city says, “One day, I went to a restaurant with my classmates and we stayed there for a while and I was afraid that my father would think something else about me.”

What do people think about the causes of this issue?

Hameeda (Nickname) says, “Once I had a quarrel with one of the family members and left the house without informing anyone.”

Mursal, a resident of Laghman province says, “When some boys and girls reach their legal ages, they think that they don’t need to inform anyone while they doing something or going somewhere.”

How do people solve this issue?

Hadia, a resident of Kabul city says, “I always decide a day before where to go and where to stay. One day when I was going home from school, there was a blast and the road was blocked. I returned to school and I took the mobile phone from one of my teachers and I shared the issue with my father. My father told me to be there in school and he came to school and took me with him.”

Ismat Karimi says, “I appointed to go to a province from my office. I called home but the phone was off. I took a taxi and shared the issue with my mother.”
